Ticket confirmation

What is a ticket confirmation?

A ticket confirmation is an official communication from FIFA Ticketing, stating that tickets have been allocated to you. During Sales Phase (1) and Sales Phase (2), the ticket confirmation specified the quantity of tickets or ticket products allocated but did not provide you with specific seating information. During the Last-Minute Sales Phase, the ticket confirmation will specify the quantity of tickets purchased by the ticket applicant, the price paid for each ticket, and the location of each seat. FIFA Ticketing may correct any errors or inaccuracies in a ticket confirmation at any time.
In addition, for over the counter purchases, the ticket purchaser will receive a copy of the ticket receipt and the credit/debit card payment receipt, in-person directly after completing the ticket application process and paying for tickets. The ticket purchaser must check that the information in the ticket receipt is correct and confirm the accuracy of his/her purchase by signing the ticket receipt at the moment of the sale.
Please note that a ticket confirmation and a copy of the ticket receipt are not a ticket, and therefore it cannot be presented to enter the stadium.

May I reject tickets I have purchased upon receipt of the ticket confirmation?

No. All ticket sales are final. A ticket applicant cannot cancel a purchase or return any tickets for any reason after FIFA Ticketing has successfully processed payment for the ticket(s), including for any reasons beyond the control of the ticket applicant.

When will I know if my application was successful?

For random selection draw sales periods, all successful, partially successful and unsuccessful ticket applicants have received an email confirming the outcome of their ticket application. Applicants can also check the status of their ticket applications in their ticketing account at FIFA.com/tickets, except during pre-planned maintenance windows.
For first come first served sales periods and the last-minute sales phase, ticket purchases are processed as a real-time transaction, i.e. available tickets are allocated directly to ticket applicants. All successfully purchased tickets are confirmed immediately to the ticket applicants. Applicants can also check the status of their ticket applications in their ticketing account at FIFA.com/tickets, except during pre-planned maintenance windows.

How will ticket confirmations be sent?

All successful and partially successful ticket applicants, who apply for tickets online on FIFA.com/tickets and over the counter at the FIFA Ticketing centres, will receive a confirmation email from the FIFA Ticketing Centre, advising them of the tickets that they have been allocated.
 
In addition, for over-the-counter purchases, you will receive a copy of the ticket receipt and the credit/debit card payment receipt, in-person directly after completing the ticket application process and paying for tickets.

How will be I informed if my ticket application is not successful?

All unsuccessful ticket applicants during the random selection draw sales periods have received an email, advising them that they have been unsuccessful with their ticket application. Applicants can also check the status of their ticket applications in their ticketing account at FIFA.com/tickets, except during pre-planned maintenance windows.

I have received a notification from my payment card issuer. Is this a valid ticket confirmation?

No, notifications from your payment card issuer, from your bank or from any other third party are not attributable to FIFA Ticketing and, in particular, do not represent a ticket confirmation and do not entitle you to receive a ticket. Please note that FIFA Ticketing is not responsible for any type of notification (e.g. an SMS or email) that may be sent to you by your payment card issuer, by your bank or by any further third party informing you of the payment for the purchase of tickets or requesting your approval of any expenditure on your payment card.

I have not received any communication from FIFA Ticketing. Why not?

If you do not receive a ticket confirmation or any other notification from FIFA Ticketing by the specified deadline, please check your spam or bulk email folder. You may also add noreply@tickets.fifa.org to your list of permitted email addresses under your contacts prior to registration. If you still cannot find a notification, it is possible that you entered another email address in your ticket application. 
Applicants can also check the status of their ticket applications in their ticketing account at FIFA.com/tickets, except during pre-planned maintenance windows.

I have been allocated tickets in a category that is different to the one for which I applied. How is this possible?

This will only be possible during a random selection draw sales period if, in your ticket application, you agreed to accept tickets in a different category if your original choice was not available.
